Marwa Saleh has been teaching English Language and Literature at a private secondary school for the past seven years. Her studetns are between 14 and 16 years old, and her average class consists of 25-30 students. She received her bachelor's Degree in English from the Alexandria University Faculty of Language and Translation in 2002; in 2007, she also attended an intensive course in teaching methods at the Faculty of Education. Marwa has also served as an advisor, handling students' marks, grade, and problems. marwa's main goal for participating in ILEp is to explore new teaching methods and strategies.
The El Nasr Girl's College is a private school in El Shatby, Alexandria, Egypt. It was established in 1935, and was originally known as English Girls College. Begun as an all girls school, boys did attend during one period; however it educates only females today. The school is no longer a boarding facility. It educates students in primary years through graduation. The picturesque campus consists of rectangular building situated around a large grassy commons. The facility also houses the British Diploma department. 5,000 students are taught by over 600 teachers. Over 60 of whom teach language arts.
Marwa's family lives in a flat in Small Cleopatra, Alexandria and consists of Marwa, her sister and her mother. Marwa's late father was an architect and her mother Magda once taught in Saudi Arabia. Marwa's sister Manal is a designer who is an administrator at a studio and workshop.
